Next step: My international driving licence and my passport

Today I got my international driving licence. Now I can drive legally in the US. Another step is made towards my year. I'm already thinking about what to put into my suitcase. Only one suitcase for a whole year? Probably impossible. But I'm sure it will work somehow.  

Got my host family

I´m so happy. Finally I have found my new host family living only 1 hour away from New York City. I´m so excited to be overseas soon and to meet my host parents and my two lovely new children. Now I have one more month here in germany to make all the arrangements for my departure. At the one hand I´m so happy that my greatest wish does come true now. But at the other hand, it´s also very sad to leave all my friends and my family.
It´s hard to say goodbye to everything here in Germany. Yes it is. But the experiences I will get from this adventure will be worth it all.
